The Opening Ceremony of World Nomad Games was Held

Today, September 3, the Opening Ceremony of World Nomad Games was held in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul Region, Kyrgyz Republic.

During the Opening Ceremony of the Games, the grandiose show included performances from riders, a colorful concert, a masterful performance of 1000 komuz musicians was presented to the audience.

With the beginning of first chords, the first 40 seconds of light and laser show was awaiting the audience. On a screen 200 meters in length and 40 meters in height, a 3D animation was projected. At this time, the group of 500 dancers in 5-color transforming dresses were lined up in rows. The group had gathered on their dresses Kyrgyz patterns, which are often used for manufacturing carpets.

Then the projection was transferred to the white dresses of the dancers – the dresses transformed to red and before the eyes of attendees the red flag of the Kyrgyz Republic appeared.

Further, the “Dance of Kyrgyz Pattern” followed – 30 professional dancers from the dance group “Ak Maral” in beautiful bright Kyrgyz dresses appeared on the stage. On the screens, running horses and mountains turned into a pattern. Clouds floated, connecting and breaking up the Kyrgyz pattern. The projection flowed from screens to the field, where at the end the carpets from all patterns were built. At the heart of action, a Kyrgyz carpet was weaved.

The third act – “Seven Generations” introduced the audience to the history and traditions of Kyrgyz people.

Through modern technologies, the genealogical tree of Kyrgyz people was demonstrated in 4D format. The ancestor of the Kyrgyz people, Uuz ata, was shown. To know the seven generations of relatives means to know 128 people.

Then Tsar Solomon appears on a stage. The concept of this episode is to show that the Kyrgyz land is unique not only by its incomparable nature, but also spiritually. The Kyrgyz land is filled with wisdom and historic figures.

Actions “Zarathustra”, “Nut”, “The funeral feast upon the death of Kokotai”, “Karakhanid Kingdom, Zhusup Balasagun”, “Karakhanid Kingdom, Mahmud Al-Khashgari”, “Lead komuz”, “Zhuz dzhigit kuu”, “Tagai-Biy”, “History of Kyrgyzstan – since 16th century to this day” – transferred the audience to the different periods of history of Kyrgyz people.

The ceremony was continued by a parade of participating countries: Azerbaijan, Argentina, Armenia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Benin, Botswana, Brazil, Hungary, Guatemala, Germany, Georgia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Israel, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iceland, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Colombia, Latvia, Madagascar, Moldova, Mongolia, Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Poland, Russian Federation (Bashkortostan, Karachay-Cherkessia, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Altai Republic, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Tatarstan, Chelyabinsk Oblast, Yakutia), Kingdom of Swaziland, Serbia, Slovakia, USA, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Uruguay, Philippines, Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Kyrgyzstan.

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic A.Atambaev, under whose patronage the World Nomad Games are being held, led the Kyrgyz national team.

In his speech, the President warmly greeted guests and participants of the event, having noted that he is proud of the fact that on the Kyrgyz land the Second World Nomad Games are being held.

Let us remind that sports delegations from 62 countries have arrived to participate in the World Nomad Games.

The event is broadcast on air by such TV channels as MIR24, MirHD, MatchTV, TRT, TRT Avaz, TRT Sport, KazSport, TV channels of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and others. Local TV channels – KTRK, KTRK Sport, KTR Madaniyat, ELTR, 5th Channel, Piramida, NTS, and regional channels.

In addition, Euronews TV channel will show to its audience the spectacle from the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul. In general, around 800 million people will see the Opening Ceremony of the World Nomad Games.

More than 500 representatives of mass media arrived to cover the event. They are from foreign, republican, regional TV channels, radio, newspapers, magazines, and online-portals, as well as bloggers. Of these, more than 280 of 90 foreign media from 35 countries, and the rest are representatives of local media.
