Japanese TV Company Will Broadcast World Nomad Games

The Japanese public broadcaster NHK is planning to cover the Second World Nomad Games, which will take place September 3rd through 8th, 2016, at Lake Issyk-Kul.

As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the company is sending their television group to broadcast the Nomad Games.

NHK will introduce Japan to the ancient culture and traditions of nomadic peoples through the sporting and cultural events throughout the Games.

In June of this year, the Ambassador of the KR Ch. Aidarbekov met with the President of the Public Broadcasting Company of Japan NHK Katsuto Momii and discussed the direction that partnership should take, and reached an agreement to send journalists from the TV company to cover the Games.

Reference: NHK is a Japanese public broadcasting company, considered to be one of the biggest in the world of broadcasting. At the current time, the company owns two broadcast TV channels, three satellite TV channels and three radio stations. NHK World serves foreign audiences.

According to a poll, the vast majority of residents in Japan think that NHK is national property of their country.
